Jason is a 2005 graduate of the Duke University Physician Assistant Program where he earned a Master of Health Science degree. He also holds a Master of Science degree in Athletic Training from West Virginia University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Science from East Carolina University.

He is licensed by the North Carolina Medical Board and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, North Carolina Association of Physician Assistants, and Physician Assistants in Orthopaedic Surgery.

Since 2005, he has practiced as a physician assistant in orthopaedic trauma, general orthopaedics, and sports medicine.
